TEKLA Detailer (Structural Steel)
Job Title: TEKLA Detailer
Location: Augusta/Aiken
Compensation: $100k - $125k (Plus Bonuses)
Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Structural Steel Fabricator and Erector in the Augusta/Aiken area on their search for a Structural Steel SDS2 Detailer with experience in the Structural Steel industry specifically with experience in SDS2 software.
As a Structural Steel Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed shop drawings and fabrication documents for structural steel components. This position requires experience in steel detailing (SDS2 software) and a strong understanding of construction processes, including material handling, design, and fabrication.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed structural steel shop drawings using SDS/2 software.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and project drawings to produce accurate detailing for steel fabrication.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to ensure design intent is accurately captured in the detailing process.
- Review and ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and specifications.
- Provide support during the fabrication and construction phases, ensuring the accuracy and quality of the steel components.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between steel structures and other building systems.
- Ensure that all detailing work meets project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer, with expertise in SDS/2 software.
- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Proficient in using SDS/2 software and other detailing tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards, including AISC, AWS, and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality, accurate work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with clash detection and coordination between structural steel and other building systems is a plus.
