Senior Estimator/Estimator (Multifamily Construction)

Job Title: Senior Estimator/Estimator

Location: South Florida – Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties

Compensation: $115,000 – $150,000 base + Bonuses + Full Benefits

Tiello has partnered with a premier General Contractor in the greater Davie, FL area on their search for an experienced and local Senior Estimator OR Estimator who has experience estimating on large scale ($100M+) construction multifamily projects in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for presentation to clients and project teams.
• Analyze project risks, value engineering opportunities, and constructability issues.
• Lead pre-construction meetings and collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, labor rates, and material costs in the industry.
• Oversee estimating team members, providing guidance, training, and quality control of their work.
• Manage deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids and proposals.
• Support contract negotiations by providing cost data and clarifications.
• Track historical cost data and maintain databases to improve accuracy of future estimates.

Qualifications:

• Strong tenures
• At least 5+ years of experience (minimum) for Estimator and 7+ years of experience for a Senior Estimator with multifamily experience - $100M+
• Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Multifamily Estimating Experience
• Excellent critical thinking, detail-oriented, problem-solving, mathematical, and sound judgment skills
• Multifamily Construction experience
• CMIC software experience is required
