Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a leading commercial waterproofing and restoration contractor in the Mid-Atlantic region, currently expanding their field crew for a major ground-up casino project in Norfolk, VA. This contractor specializes in waterproofing, below-grade systems, air/vapor barriers, coatings, sealants, and façade restoration across commercial, industrial, and large-scale entertainment facilities.

Role Summary:

We are seeking experienced Waterproofing Installers to join the crew on an active casino project. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience installing below-grade waterproofing systems, sealants, coatings, and air/vapor barriers. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work on fast-paced, high-visibility construction sites.

• Ground-up commercial construction

• Casino project in Norfolk, VA

• Below-grade waterproofing, air/vapor barrier installations, deck coatings, sealants

Job Responsibilities:

• Install a variety of waterproofing systems, including membranes, hot- and cold-applied systems, sheet goods, and fluid-applied products

• Apply caulking, sealants, expansion joints, and traffic coatings

• Assist with prep work: cleaning substrates, priming surfaces, masking, and layout

• Read plans, details, and manufacturer specifications to ensure proper installation

• Work alongside foremen and superintendents to maintain schedule and quality standards

• Operate hand tools and equipment safely (sprayers, rollers, torches, etc.)

• Maintain clean and organized work areas

• Follow all OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols

• Communicate job progress, potential issues, and material needs to supervisors

• Support punch list and QA/QC activities as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 1–3+ years of commercial waterproofing, caulking, or coatings experience preferred

• Experience with below-grade systems, air/vapor barriers, elastomeric coatings, or sealants

• Ability to read and follow drawings and manufacturer details

• Comfortable working outdoors in construction environments

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work at heights if needed

• Reliable transportation to the Norfolk jobsite

• Willingness to pass background/drug screening

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
