Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Contractor in the Philadelphia, PA area on their search for a Project Manager with Bridge construction experience to lead and oversee infrastructure projects in the Philadelphia region. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong leadership skills with the ability to be 70% hands-on in the field when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of bridge construction and rehabilitation projects from start to finish
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Oversee subcontractors, crews, and field staff to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Maintain strong communication with clients, DOT/municipal agencies, and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues proactively
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and industry safety regulations
- Track costs, approve change orders, and deliver projects on time and within budget
- Provide on-site support and leadership to ensure smooth project execution.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s a plus)
- 5+ years of experience managing bridge or heavy civil construction projects
- Proven track record in DOT, municipal, or transportation infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, safety regulations, and structural standards
- Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Hands-on field experience with bridge construction or rehabilitation
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, etc.)
