Position: Sheet Metal Supervisor - HVAC & Ductwork
Location: Florence, SC
Pay Range: $75,000 - $90,000 DOE

Tiello has partnered with a growing mechanical contractor supporting commercial HVAC projects across the Southeast. This organization specializes in HVAC installations and ductwork fabrication for commercial and light industrial facilities and is seeking a Sheet Metal Supervisor to lead field crews and oversee ductwork installation activities in the Florence, SC market.
The Sheet Metal Supervisor will be responsible for supervising sheet metal crews, coordinating daily field activities, and ensuring HVAC ductwork installations are completed safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork fabrication, and field installation practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise sheet metal and ductwork installation crews on commercial HVAC projects
• Coordinate daily work plans, manpower, and material needs with project management
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and ductwork layouts
• Ensure ductwork is installed per plans, specifications, and industry standards
• Monitor jobsite productivity, quality, and schedule adherence
• Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture on site
• Coordinate with other trades to support efficient jobsite operations
• Track progress and communicate updates, issues, or changes to leadership
• Support material handling, layout verification, and field problem-solving
• Assist with punchlist completion and project closeout activities
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC sheet metal or ductwork installation
• Prior supervisory or lead experience overseeing field crews
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and ductwork practices
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and construction drawings
• Familiarity with field productivity tracking and basic scheduling
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Preferred Skills
• Experience on commercial or light industrial HVAC projects
• Familiarity with SMACNA standards
• Experience coordinating multiple crews or large projects
• OSHA certification or safety training a plus
