Company Overview
Our client is a leading building envelope restoration contractor specializing in façade repair, exterior restoration, waterproofing, and structural rehabilitation for commercial, institutional, and multi-family buildings throughout New York City.
The company performs complex exterior restoration projects including masonry repair, concrete restoration, Local Law 11 façade compliance work, sealants, waterproofing systems, and structural façade rehabilitation. Their team partners closely with building owners, property managers, engineers, and architects to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Facade Restoration Assistant Project Manager to support project teams in managing façade restoration and building envelope projects across Manhattan and the greater NYC market.
Position Overview
The Facade Restoration Assistant Project Manager will support Project Managers in coordinating and managing façade restoration projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role assists with project documentation, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and communication with field teams and consultants.
This position offers strong growth potential for individuals looking to build a long-term career in NYC building envelope restoration and façade rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist Project Managers in coordinating façade restoration and exterior rehabilitation projects
• Support project planning including schedules, budgets, and project documentation
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries
• Track project progress, change orders, RFIs, and submittals
• Maintain project documentation including contracts, drawings, and reports
• Communicate regularly with field supervisors, foremen, and project managers regarding jobsite progress
• Assist with project cost tracking, procurement, and budget monitoring
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and property managers during project execution
• Participate in project meetings and provide project status updates
• Assist with project closeout including punch lists, final documentation, and project reporting
Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience in construction project coordination or project management
• Experience with facade restoration, masonry repair, waterproofing, or building envelope projects preferred
• Familiarity with NYC Local Law 11 / FISP façade restoration work is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment while managing multiple tasks
Preferred Experience
• Experience working on NYC exterior restoration or building envelope projects
• Familiarity with façade systems including masonry, concrete, sealants, waterproofing, and coatings
• Experience coordinating with field crews, consultants, and property manager
