Job Title: MA Licensed Sprinkler Fitter

Location: Greater Boston, MA

Pay Range: $40 - $60/hour (DOE & Licensing)

Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Fire Protection contractor in the Greater Boston area that is actively seeking an experienced Massachusetts Licensed Sprinkler Fitter to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed sprinkler fitter who enjoys working on commercial and industrial fire sprinkler systems. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, servicing, inspecting, testing, and repairing wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest safety standards.

Project Types: Commercial Buildings, Industrial Facilities, Manufacturing Plants, Healthcare Facilities, Educational Campuses, Municipal Buildings, High-Rise Buildings, Warehouses, Data Centers, and Mixed-Use Developments.

Key Responsibilities

Install, modify, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire sprinkler systems including:
Wet Pipe Systems
Dry Pipe Systems
Pre-Action Systems
Deluge Systems
Fire Pumps
Standpipe Systems
Backflow Prevention Devices
Perform NFPA-required inspections, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems.
Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend repairs or corrective actions.
Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and sprinkler layouts.
Install and replace sprinkler heads, valves, pipe, fittings, hangers, and related system components.
Conduct hydrostatic testing, trip testing, and system acceptance testing.
Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed.
Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to complete work safely and efficiently.
Complete accurate service reports, inspection documentation, and work orders.
Ensure all work complies with NFPA standards, Massachusetts state regulations, and local fire codes.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and organized manner.
Follow all company and customer safety policies while working on active construction sites and occupied facilities.

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current Massachusetts Sprinkler Fitter License required.
New Hampshire Sprinkler Fitter License is a plus.
3+ years of commercial fire sprinkler installation and/or service experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, and Deluge Systems
Fire Pumps
Standpipe Systems
NFPA 13, 13R, 13D, 14, 20 & 25
Experience with inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Ability to read blueprints and sprinkler drawings.
Experience operating lifts and working from ladders and elevated work platforms.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Valid driver`s license with a clean driving record.
