Job Title: CAD Operator

Location: Greensboro, NC

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000

Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a growing Mechanical Design-Build Contractor based in Greensboro, NC, in their search for a CAD Designer to support projects across the Carolinas. The company is known for its collaborative culture, modern technology stack, and a strong commitment to quality design documentation.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience using AutoDesk Revit or other CAD software in any industry. Industry-specific experience in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing design is preferred but not required. The CAD Designer will be responsible for producing technical drawings and 3D models to support preconstruction, coordination, and installation efforts.

• Commercial new construction
• Institutional facilities (schools, healthcare, etc.)
• Renovations and tenant improvements
• Design-build MEP systems

Job Responsibilities:

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings using AutoDesk Revit
• Translate design concepts and engineer markups into construction-ready documents
• Assist with the coordination of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Participate in internal design review meetings and apply feedback to drawings
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across drawing sets
• Help manage drawing revisions, file storage, and version control
• Work closely with engineers, project managers, and field personnel
• Ensure designs are in compliance with local codes and project specifications
• Support the preconstruction team with visualizations and system layouts
• Learn and apply company CAD standards and procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience using AutoDesk Revit or other drafting/modeling software
• Associate degree or technical training in drafting, engineering technology, or similar field preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical direction
• Willingness to learn construction industry practices and MEP systems
• Must be able to work full-time on-site in Greensboro, NC
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
