With a strong leadership team, robust backlog, and growing service portfolio, the company is investing in the right people to fuel its next phase of growth — including hiring an experienced Department / Operations Manager to lead the Houston Service Division.
Role Summary:
This is a key operational leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of service operations — including field productivity, crew management, job costing, scheduling, safety, and customer satisfaction. The Department Manager will work closely with executive leadership to drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth within a fast-moving, well-capitalized organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily service operations including dispatching, scheduling, productivity, job costing, and profitability.
- Manage and mentor Service Superintendents, Technicians, and Coordinators to drive field performance.
- Enforce safety standards, quality control, and customer responsiveness across all projects.
Financial & Business Performance
- Own budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and backlog management.
- Analyze project performance and implement process improvements to protect margins.
- Partner with leadership to strengthen cost controls and maximize operational efficiency.
Client & Market Strategy
- Work closely with Sales/BD teams to prioritize key accounts and support client retention.
- Assist with estimating, pricing, and proposal follow-up for ongoing service work.
- Identify opportunities to expand recurring maintenance and service contracts.
Team Development
- Recruit, train, and retain high-performing service personnel.
- Establish systems and KPIs for accountability, execution, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a strong, safety-first culture aligned with company values.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of operations management experience within commercial roofing service or a related building-envelope trade (waterproofing, façade, or restoration).
- Proven track record managing multiple service crews and coordinating both field and office teams.
- Strong financial and business acumen — experienced with job costing, margins, and forecasting.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to drive culture, process, and performance.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-growth environment.
