Job Title: Foreman (Security Systems Integration)
Location: Cranston, RI
Salary Range: $40 - $55 hourly

Tiello has partnered with a nationally recognized Security Systems Integrator to hire a Security Systems Integration Foreman for its Cranston, RI team. The Foreman will lead a team of technicians in the installation, programming, and maintenance of integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, managing project logistics, ensuring quality workmanship, and providing advanced technical support. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Project Types: Hospitals, Schools/ Universities, Commercial, Office Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Mixed-Use, Retail, Tenant Improvements, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of technicians in the installation, programming, and service of integrated security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
- Perform and oversee relay wiring, power supply terminations, device connections, and system conversions or upgrades to ensure proper system functionality.
- Coordinate daily project activities and field operations, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with specifications.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance in troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of complex systems and networked security solutions.
- Review drawings, submittals, and schematics to confirm accurate installation and identify potential field conflicts before implementation.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other trades to maintain efficient workflow and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure all wiring, terminations, and device placements meet manufacturer standards, code requirements, and quality expectations.
- Maintain accurate as-built documentation, material tracking, and progress reports throughout project lifecycle.
- Enforce adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and industry regulations (NEC, NFPA, and manufacturer specifications).
- Mentor and train field technicians, providing instruction on proper installation techniques, relay logic, and system integration practices.
- Conduct final system testing, programming validation, and client demonstrations to confirm system performance and reliability.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical or trade school training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in low-voltage or security systems installation, including access control, CCTV, intrusion, and intercom systems.
- Proven experience leading or supervising installation teams on commercial and enterprise-level integration projects.
- Strong understanding of relay logic, door hardware integration, power supplies, and field terminations.
- Hands-on experience with system conversions, retrofits, and upgrades involving multiple platforms and legacy integrations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and schematic drawings, risers, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with major access control and video platforms such as LenelS2, Genetec, Avigilon, AMAG, Brivo, Honeywell, and Milestone.
- Solid knowledge of IP networking as it relates to security systems configuration and connectivity.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve complex field issues independently.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities with proven success mentoring technicians and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to industry standards (NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, and manufacturer specifications).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
