Compensation: $130,000–$150,000 base + performance-based incentives
About the Role
Tiello LLC is partnering with a well-established and high-performing commercial roofing contractor in the Dallas–Fort Worth market to hire an experienced Commercial Roofing Operations
Manager.
This is a senior executive-level operations role responsible for overseeing $50M+ in annual commercial roofing revenue, leading a Project Management organization, and supporting a field operation of 150+ employees across multiple active projects.
This role requires a leader with exceptional financial acumen, deep commercial roofing expertise, and the ability to scale people, processes, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
Executive Operations & Financial Leadership
- Oversee $50M+ in commercial roofing production revenue
- Maintain full P&L responsibility for operations, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead
- Drive margin improvement through production efficiency, cost control, and forecasting
- Partner with ownership on annual budgets, growth planning, and operational strategy
Project Management Leadership
- Directly oversee the Project Management team, ensuring strong execution from pre-construction through closeout
- Establish standardized processes for scheduling, job costing, reporting, and project controls
- Hold PMs accountable for financial performance, client satisfaction, and risk management
People & Organizational Leadership
- Support and lead an organization of 150+ field and operations personnel
- Develop leadership pipelines across PMs, Superintendents, and field management
- Drive accountability, performance expectations, and professional development
Production, Scheduling & Resource Planning
- Align manpower planning, equipment allocation, and material procurement with revenue goals
- Ensure production schedules support revenue targets without sacrificing quality or safety
- Proactively identify capacity constraints and implement solutions
Financial & Cost Control (Core Focus)
- Review and act on job cost reports, WIP schedules, and labor productivity metrics
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio
- Implement corrective actions to protect margins and reduce rework, waste, and inefficiencies
- Support accurate forecasting and backlog management
Safety, Quality & Risk Management
- Champion company-wide safety culture and OSHA compliance
- Ensure consistent quality standards across all projects to reduce warranty and rework exposure
- Mitigate operational and financial risk tied to schedule delays, labor shortages, and scope changes
Client, Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a senior escalation point for key clients and partners
- Strengthen supplier and subcontractor relationships to improve pricing, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with estimating and sales leadership on handoffs and execution planning
Reporting & Executive Communication
- Provide ownership with clear reporting on revenue, margins, staffing, risk, and performance metrics
- Use data to drive decisions and continuous improvement across operations
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years of leadership experience in commercial roofing operations
- Proven experience overseeing $50M+ in annual commercial roofing revenue
- Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale operations (150+ employees)
- Strong background overseeing Project Management teams
- Exceptional financial acumen, including:
- P&L ownership
- Job cost analysis
- Labor forecasting
- Margin protection and improvement
- Deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Metal)
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
- Executive-level communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed
