Territory Sales Manager
Job Title: Territory Sales Manager – Commercial Roofing & Waterproofing
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $100,000–$130,000/year + Performance Bonus
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Territory Sales Manager to join a leading manufacturer in the commercial roofing and waterproofing industry. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and developing long-term partnerships throughout the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate has experience within the commercial roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope industry and is passionate about building relationships with contractors, distributors, architects, consultants, and building owners. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow commercial roofing and waterproofing product sales within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial roofing contractors, distributors, architects, consultants, specifiers, building owners, and other industry professionals.
- Identify new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Promote Kingspan`s commercial roofing, waterproofing, insulation, and building envelope product solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, lunch-and-learn sessions, educational seminars, and contractor training programs.
- Provide technical product support and assist customers in identifying the best roofing and waterproofing solutions for their projects.
- Collaborate with internal sales, technical, specification, customer service, and operations teams to ensure exceptional customer support.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the commercial roofing industry.
- Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry association meetings.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve territory growth objectives.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers and support ongoing business development efforts.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in commercial roofing, waterproofing, building envelope, or construction-related sales.
- Previous experience working for a commercial roofing manufacturer, roofing contractor, distributor, or building envelope manufacturer is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, KEE, insulation, waterproofing systems, or related products.
- Experience building relationships with architects, roofing consultants, specifiers, contractors, distributors, and commercial property owners.
- Proven track record of developing new business while maintaining long-term customer relationships.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing a sales territory.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver`s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Experience selling technical commercial roofing or waterproofing products.
- Existing relationships within the commercial roofing industry in the Charlotte market or surrounding region.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations, contractor training, and educational presentations.
- Understanding of commercial construction specifications and project bidding processes.
- Experience collaborating with architects, consultants, and design professionals.
