Job Title: Superintendent – Commercial Construction
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Compensation: $120K – $150K Base Salary + Bonus + Vehicle Allowance

Tiello has partnered with a growing, relationship-driven General Contractor based in the Phoenix market that specializes in commercial construction projects throughout the Valley.
This is not a large corporate builder where Superintendents get buried in layers of red tape and micromanagement. The leadership team is hands-on, highly collaborative, and values trust, accountability, and long-term relationships; both internally and externally. The company has built a strong reputation through repeat business, quality execution, and a field-first mindset.
The ownership team is selective about who they bring onto their projects and is looking for Superintendents who take pride in running organized, professional jobsites while building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Projects include both ground-up and renovation commercial construction throughout the Phoenix market.
Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial construction projects and serve as the lead field representative responsible for safety, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and overall project execution.
This individual will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, consultants, and ownership teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and at a high level of quality.
The ideal candidate is a proactive field leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively, and knows how to keep projects moving while maintaining accountability across all trades.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all field operations and subcontractor activities on assigned projects
- Maintain project safety standards and enforce OSHA compliance across the jobsite
- Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and inspections to maintain project timelines
- Monitor construction progress and proactively identify scheduling conflicts or field issues
- Ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Maintain organized jobsite documentation including daily reports, inspections, correspondence, and field logs
- Coordinate required inspections and ensure compliance with local jurisdiction requirements
- Work closely with Project Managers and project teams to support successful project execution
- Communicate with Architects and Engineers regarding RFIs, design clarifications, and field conflicts
- Conduct quality control walks and identify deficient work for corrective action
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and maintain accountability across all trades
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite environment
- Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and final completion activities
- Mentor and support junior field staff and contribute to a positive team culture
Qualifications & Requirements
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience within commercial construction
- Experience managing ground-up and/or renovation commercial projects
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and maintaining project schedules
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- Maricopa County Dust Control Certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and construction management software
- Ability to identify field issues, resolve conflicts, and maintain project momentum
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Stable work history preferred
