Position: Sheet Metal / HVAC Supervisor (Industrial)
Location: Darlington, SC
Pay Range: $65,000 - $85-000

Tiello has partnered with a growing commercial and industrial mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Sheet Metal / HVAC Supervisor to support operations at a large industrial facility in Darlington, SC.
This role will be based full-time at a mill environment, supporting ongoing HVAC and mechanical work. The company is looking for a hands-on leader with a strong technical background in industrial HVAC systems, particularly large-tonnage equipment, who can lead crews while also being a technical resource on-site.
Position Overview
The Sheet Metal / HVAC Supervisor will oversee field crews performing installation, maintenance, and modification work on industrial HVAC systems. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality within an active industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise sheet metal and HVAC crews performing work within an industrial facility
- Oversee installation and modification of ductwork, ventilation systems, and HVAC equipment
- Support troubleshooting and maintenance of large industrial HVAC systems including chillers, air handlers, and process-related equipment
- Coordinate daily work plans, manpower, and material needs with project leadership
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and system layouts
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and site requirements
- Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule adherence
- Serve as a technical resource for field teams when complex issues arise
- Communicate effectively with plant personnel, project managers, and internal teams
- Support training and development of field technicians and installers
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in industrial HVAC or mechanical systems
- Prior leadership experience as a Foreman, Lead, or Supervisor
- Strong technical knowledge of large-scale HVAC systems, including chillers and industrial air systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and system issues
- Experience working in industrial or manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and system schematics
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in mill, plant, or heavy industrial environments
- Background in both sheet metal installation and HVAC systems
- Familiarity with safety protocols in industrial facilities
- Strong understanding of airflow, ventilation, and system performance
Physical & Work Environment Expectations
- Ability to work full-time within an active industrial facility
- Ability to climb ladders, access elevated areas, and work around large equipment
- Ability to lift materials and tools as required
- Strong safety awareness and adherence to site-specific requirements
