Location: Charlotte, North Carolina
Market Sector/Projects: Warehouse, tilt-up, PEMB, and education markets
Base Salary: $70,000 - $85,000

Projects: PEMB, Industrial/Tilt up (Distribution/Warehouses), Education, Churches
Tiello is partnered with a highly respected general contractor in Charlotte, North Carolina who specializes in warehouse/distribution, tilt-up, PEMB, and education construction projects, who is seeking a Business Development Associate to help drive growth across key markets.
*This is an outstanding opportunity for a high-energy, relationship-driven professional early in their career who wants to build a long-term future in construction business development. The right person will work closely with executive leadership to expand client relationships, open doors with developers and owners, and help position the company for continued growth in the industrial and institutional sectors.

Responsibilities:
- Build and strengthen relationships with developers, owners, brokers, architects, engineers, and owner’s reps
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities in warehouse, tilt-up, PEMB, and education markets
- Support executive leadership in market expansion initiatives and strategic pursuits
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, and association meetings
- Track market activity including land deals, industrial growth, and school bond activity
- Partner with preconstruction and operations teams on pursuit strategy
- Help manage proposal opportunities, interview prep, and client follow-up
- Maintain CRM activity, pipeline tracking, and business development reporting
- Support brand presence and visibility in target markets
Qualifications:
- 1–5+ years of experience in construction business development, sales, estimating, project management or AEC/client development
- Strong interest in industrial, warehouse, PEMB, tilt-up, or education construction
- Highly motivated, polished, and confident communicator
- Natural relationship builder with strong follow-through
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong career ambition
- Comfortable engaging owners, developers, and strategic partners
- Local market connections are a plus, but drive and presence matter most
