Tiello has partnered with a growing commercial and industrial mechanical contractor seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations within its sheet metal fabrication shop in Hurricane, WV.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong sheet metal and HVAC fabrication experience who enjoys managing workflow, supporting teams, and ensuring high-quality production in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview

The Fabrication Supervisor will be responsible for leading shop operations, coordinating production schedules, and supporting fabrication teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. This individual will serve as a key link between shop operations, field teams, and project leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication, ductwork production, and HVAC-related systems, along with the ability to lead by example on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily sheet metal fabrication shop operations
Coordinate workflow, manpower, and production schedules to meet project timelines
Oversee fabrication of ductwork, fittings, and HVAC-related sheet metal components
Ensure quality control and accuracy of fabricated materials
Support and mentor fabrication personnel to improve efficiency and workmanship
Monitor shop safety practices and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Coordinate material needs and communicate production status with project teams
Assist with troubleshooting fabrication challenges and workflow bottlenecks
Operate and oversee equipment such as shears, brakes, rollers, plasma tables, and related fabrication machinery

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or HVAC fabrication environments
Prior leadership experience as a Lead, Foreman, or Supervisor preferred
Strong understanding of ductwork fabrication and sheet metal processes
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication details
Strong organizational and communication skills
Hands-on leadership mentality with strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills

Experience within commercial or industrial HVAC environments
Familiarity with CNC plasma tables or automated fabrication equipment
Welding or layout experience a plus
Experience coordinating with field installation teams

Physical & Work Environment Expectations

Ability to work in an active fabrication shop environment
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and operate fabrication equipment throughout the workday
Strong focus on workplace safety and production quality
Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced production setting
