Location: Dallas, TX

Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 base salary + performance bonus

About the Role

Tiello is partnering with a rapidly growing and well-established commercial roofing contractor in the Dallas market to identify an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator with strong EDGE software expertise.

This is a critical role within the preconstruction and estimating team, responsible for driving accurate, competitive, and profitable bids across a wide range of commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of commercial roofing systems, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with EDGE estimating software to produce high-quality proposals in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial roofing projects using EDGE software

• Perform material take-offs, labor analysis, and equipment costing based on drawings, specifications, and site conditions

• Review architectural plans, blueprints, and project documents to determine scope of work

• Collaborate closely with project managers, sales, and operations teams to ensure alignment on project scope and pricing

• Develop competitive bids and proposals that align with company margins and market conditions

• Conduct jobsite visits when necessary to assess existing conditions and validate scope

• Maintain and update estimating databases, cost libraries, and historical pricing data

• Assist in value engineering efforts to improve project profitability and win rates

• Participate in bid reviews and internal strategy meetings

• Support handoff of awarded projects to operations teams to ensure accurate execution

• Stay current on roofing systems, industry pricing trends, and market conditions

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or preconstruction

• Strong proficiency in EDGE estimating software (required)

• Deep knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal roofing, etc.)

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents

• Strong understanding of labor productivity, material pricing, and commercial construction cost structures

• Experience performing detailed take-offs and bid preparation for large commercial projects

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with sales and operations teams

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in fast-paced bidding environments

• Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to win competitive bids

• Experience working for a commercial roofing contractor strongly preferred
