Compensation: $140,000 – $180,000+ Base Salary + Heavy Performance Bonuses + Profit Sharing

Company Overview
Tiello is partnered with a leading national commercial roofing and building envelope contractor in their search for a Director of Field Operations to support large-scale projects across the United States.
This organization has built a strong reputation for delivering complex commercial roofing and exterior systems projects with precision, safety, and operational discipline. Their teams partner closely with general contractors, developers, and building owners to execute high-quality roofing and building envelope installations nationwide.
This role is critical to maintaining consistent field execution standards, strengthening leadership within field teams, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with manufacturer and project requirements.
Role Summary
The Director of Field Operations will oversee commercial roofing field execution across an assigned operational region or POD. This individual will lead Superintendents and field teams across multiple projects, ensuring production performance, installation standards, safety compliance, and overall field discipline.
The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of commercial roofing experience and a proven background leading large field teams, Superintendents, and complex commercial roofing installations across multiple projects or regions.
This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for maintaining quality standards, mentoring field leadership, and driving operational consistency across job sites.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for Superintendents and field teams across multiple commercial roofing projects
- Establish and enforce field execution standards, installation quality expectations, and workmanship discipline
- Drive production performance, manpower planning, and schedule accountability across projects
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
- Ensure roofing systems are installed according to manufacturer specifications and warranty requirements
- Oversee material logistics, jobsite readiness, and field productivity
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers and operational leadership to maintain alignment on schedules, manpower needs, and project priorities
- Ensure accurate field reporting, inspections, progress tracking, and project documentation
- Mentor and develop Superintendents and Foremen to strengthen leadership within field operations
- Identify and resolve field execution issues, installation challenges, and production bottlenecks
- Oversee punch lists, corrective work, and final project closeout to ensure quality completion
Qualifications / Requirements
- REQUIRED 7+ years of commercial roofing experience
- 5+ years leading roofing crews, Superintendents, or field operations across multiple projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems including TPO, EPDM, PVC, BUR, Modified Bitumen, coatings, and metal roofing systems
- Proven ability to lead teams, enforce installation standards, and drive field production performance
- Strong problem-solving, planning, and leadership skills
- Experience with field reporting, inspection software, and project documentation systems
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally and nationally
Travel
This position requires regional and national travel, with significant time spent on active jobsites supporting Superintendents, field leadership, and project execution teams.
