This strategic role focuses on overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Manage cash flow, financial planning, and risk assessment to support business operations and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and development.
• Oversee annual audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations.
• Stay current with industry trends, tax laws, and accounting standards to provide accurate and strategic advice to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or controller role.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices, including WIP (Work in Progress) reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Viewpoint) and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
