Job Title: Construction Superintendent - Healthcare
Location: Tempe, Arizona
Compensation: $170k - $230k (Competitive base salary + performance bonus)

Tiello is currently partnered with a nationally respected commercial general contractor with more than 100 years of history and a strong healthcare portfolio across Arizona. They specialize in complex, high-acuity medical environments, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and oncology facilities.
Their healthcare division is expanding and seeking experienced field leadership to support continued growth in regulated medical settings.
Role Summary
The Healthcare Superintendent will lead all on-site construction activities for hospital, surgery center, and cancer treatment projects. This role requires hands-on field leadership within active healthcare environments where infection control, clean room standards, life safety systems, and patient-sensitive coordination are critical.
The Superintendent will drive schedule performance, enforce quality and safety standards, and maintain strong communication with project stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations for healthcare construction projects
- Develop detailed phasing, sequencing, and logistics plans for occupied medical campuses
- Implement Infection Control Risk Assessments and maintain patient-safe work zones
- Oversee clean room protocols and air quality management
- Coordinate medical equipment installation with vendors and hospital staff
- Enforce compliance with life safety systems including fire protection and egress
- Manage subcontractor scheduling, performance, and site coordination
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure healthcare standards are met
- Partner with Project Managers to maintain schedule and cost alignment
- Mentor and develop craft personnel and field staff
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of healthcare construction superintendent experience
- Proven experience delivering hospital or surgery center projects valued at $30MM+
- Strong knowledge of infection control and contamination mitigation procedures
- Experience working within active healthcare facilities
- Familiarity with healthcare-specific life safety and compliance requirements
- Ability to meet hospital credentialing, background, and immunization standards
- Strong leadership presence and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and CPM schedules
