Project Manager - Healthcare Construction
Job Title: Healthcare CONSTRUCTION SR Project Manager –
Location: Tempe, Arizona
Compensation: $170k - $220k Competitive base salary + performance bonus

Our client is a nationally respected commercial general contractor with over a century of operating history and a strong healthcare portfolio across the Southwest. Their Arizona team is actively delivering complex medical environments including acute care hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and oncology facilities.
They are investing in senior healthcare leadership to support sustained growth in high-regulation environments.
Role Summary
This is a senior-level healthcare construction position focused on managing high-acuity medical facilities where precision, compliance, and stakeholder coordination are critical.
The Senior Project Manager will lead complex hospital and specialty care projects from preconstruction through closeout while mentoring internal teams and serving as the primary liaison to hospital executives, design partners, and consultants.
This role requires proven experience working inside active healthcare campuses where infection control, clean room standards, medical equipment integration, and life safety systems are central to execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive-level oversight of hospital and medical facility construction projects
- Lead infection prevention planning and ensure patient-safe work zones
- Oversee clean room compliance, air pressurization control, and healthcare environmental standards
- Coordinate complex medical equipment installations with hospital staff and vendors
- Manage detailed CPM schedules and cost controls
- Lead OAC meetings with hospital administrators and design teams
- Oversee subcontractor performance from buyout through closeout
- Ensure compliance with life safety systems, fire protection, and healthcare code requirements
- Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers
- Support strategic pursuits and healthcare business development initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years commercial construction experience with at least 7 years dedicated to healthcare
- Demonstrated success delivering hospital, surgery center, or oncology projects valued at $30MM+
- Strong working knowledge of infection control risk assessments
- Experience managing construction within active healthcare environments
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory compliance and hospital access requirements
- High-level proficiency in contracts, specifications, scheduling, and cost management
- Executive presence and strong stakeholder communication skills
Travel Expectations
Primarily Arizona-based healthcare projects with limited regional travel as needed.
