Location: REMOTE or local to an office in PA or VA.

Tiello has partnered with a highly regarded and growing $360M Structural Steel/Misc. Metal Fabricator and Erector, with locations in the Northeast, Mid Atlantic and Southeast on the search for a Project Manager with ideally both Structural Steel and Misc. Metals Fabrication/Erection/Installation project experience managing larger commercial projects between $15M-$30M+.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of structural steel/misc. metal fabrication and erection for construction projects. You will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery, and maintaining high-quality standards. You will also work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed efficiently and meet all specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the overall process of fabricating and erecting structural steel, miscellaneous metals, joist, and metal deck for assigned project(s)
- Manage the steel detailing and surveying
- Read specifications and blue prints to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
- Create and establish schedules that include preconstruction planning, submittals, engineering, shop drawing creation, material procurement, and fabrication, shipping, erection, and closeout procedures.
- Prepare, coordinate, review, and execute submittals, contracts, subcontracts, Purchase Orders (PO), Professional Service Agreements (PSA), blueprints/drawings, and other critical documents
- Prepare a detailed schedule of values for billing purposes; prepare and submit monthly project billings
- Prepare and negotiate change orders, deducts, and proposals with clients
- Maintain positive client relationships and communicate effectively with all parties associated with the project
- Communicate and coordinate with other project contractors to maintain schedule, deliver of materials, and mitigate design conflicts
- Communicate and coordinate the steel package with other trade contractors via the BIM process and work through clash detection
- Issue corrective action notices to subcontractors, as required, to enforce company and/or project guidelines/policies
- Effectively organize and maintain important documents in both a hard copy and electronic format
Qualifications:
- Prior Project Management experience particularly in Misc. Metals is strongly preferred
- Steel fabrication/erection project management experience
- 2-4 Year post-secondary degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager in structural steel/misc. metal fabrication or a related field
- TEKLA EPM, Bluebeam and MS Office Product software experience is a MUST
- Experience managing $15M-$30M projects in scope
- Strong knowledge of structural steel/misc. metal fabrication processes, materials, and building codes
- Proven track record of managing complex fabrication projects within the construction industry
- Valid US driver’s license is required
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in steel construction
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and cost control standards and procedures
- Knowledge of applicable and proper use for the following: transit, laser lever, torpedo, torque guns, welders, gas supplied equipment, rigging and components
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in steel construction
Work Environment:
- Subject to inside environmental conditions: dust and foreign particles, welding fumes, exhaust fumes, paint fumes, etc.
- Exposure to loud noises, moving mechanical parts and electrical shock risk.
- Work location at PA or VA location
- Open to a remote Project Manager for those not close to one of client locations
- Schedule is generally M-F 700am to 400pm
- Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed
- Some travel is needed (15%) Mileage reimbursement is available
