JOB DESCRIPTION –RESIDENTIAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Location: St. Louis, MO
Compensation:
- Residential Sales: ~$75K first-year realistic earnings (100% Commission Based)
- Commission Structure: “Pay-as-collected” model; commissions are paid as the company receives payments on sold projects
- Ramp Period: $4,000/month for the first 3 months

Tiello is partnered with a long-standing, reputable Missouri based residential based roofing contractor. The company is experiencing strategic growth in both the St. Louis market and is seeking to build a high-performing sales teams within the market.
Role Summary:
The organization is seeking true hunters, not order-takers. These roles require proactive outbound activity, consistent follow-up, and the ability to build trust with property owners, managers, HOAs, and homeowners. Candidates must be self-driven, organized, and comfortable generating their own opportunities.
Ideal Candidate Traits:
- Driven, disciplined sales professionals who take ownership of pipeline and territory
- Comfortable with door knocking, property visits, HOA meetings, and in-person relationship building
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain scopes, value, and expectations
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a full sales cycle independently
- Not afraid to hustle, stay consistent, and grind to build a book of business
- Roofing experience is preferred but not required; candidates from solar, exterior trades, construction sales, and high-volume outside sales are very strong fits
- Humble, hard-working, and relationship-based in their approach

Project Types:
Residential Sales:
- Asphalt shingles, tile, and full roof replacements
- Small re-roofs and repairs
- Homeowner-driven consultative sales cycles
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive new business through outbound sales, site visits, cold outreach, and networking
- Perform roof inspections and develop accurate, scope-based proposals
- Maintain disciplined follow-up, CRM documentation, and pipeline management
- Understand roofing systems, installation processes, production workflows, and project timelines (training provided)
- Partner with production and operations to ensure accurate job handoff
- Maintain communication with clients throughout project execution
- Track revenue progress, commissions, and quota targets
- Attend industry events, HOA board meetings, and property management functions
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
- Collaborate with leadership on market strategy and penetration
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of outside sales experience (roofing or construction preferred but not mandatory)
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills required
- Ability to climb roofs and conduct inspections
- Local market familiarity a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
