Estimator (Underground Utilities)
TIELLO has partnered with a highly successful Specialty Contractor in the Greater San Francisco/East Bay Area on their search for an Estimator to work on Underground Utility, Earthworks and Excavation projects.
Job Title: Estimator - Underground Utilities, Earthworks and Excavation (5+ year of experience)
Project Types: Underground Utilities, Earthworks and Excavation
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all essential Estimator job responsibilities
- Experience and comfort performing Assistant Project Manager’s and Project Engineer’s responsibilities
- Estimate and establish budgets and contract price
- Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
- Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
- Maintain the project schedule and budget
- Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable
- Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
Skills & Qualification:
- 5+ years estimating projects for a reputable Earthworks or Underground Utility Contractor
- Earthworks and Excavation Project Experience
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn, grow, and develop, with a team that wants to promote your success
