Location: Oceanside, CA
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000

Company Overview:
Tiello is partnered with a highly regarded local Multifamily General Contractor based in Northern San Diego County,, in their search for an Director of Accounting to support projects in the Multifamily Industry throughout San Diego County.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in General Construction Accounting and Management and will be responsible for leading their Accounting Department.

Multifamily, Apartment, Podium, Type III, Type V, Ground-Up
Job Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all essential Director of Accounting Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and hold accountable (LMA) all Accounting staff
- Work professionally and effectively with Accounting Team, Project Managers, and Project Representatives
- Company financial reporting and analysis
- Monitor and control project costs
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and contractual obligations
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments
- Manage cash flow
- Financial Accounting – Accurate and Timely Preparation of Reports, Oversee payables and receivables, Payroll, etc.
- Monthly and Year-end Financial Statements by the 15th of the following month
- WIP reports quarterly
- Review and approve expenses related to projects, verifying that they are legitimate and properly documented
- Prepare and distribute job cost reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness and providing insights into project profitability
- Manage the billing process for projects, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or similar
- 5+ years of Construction Accounting experience
- 2+ Years of Experience managing direct Accounting reports
- Procore & Sage Experience a plus
- Positive attitude, and ability to successfully work within a team
