About the Role
Tiello is partnering with a well-established and growing commercial glazing and building envelope contractor in Charleston, South Carolina, to identify an experienced Commercial Caulker / Glazier to join their field team. This company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality glazing, sealant, and waterproofing solutions on commercial construction projects and continues to expand throughout the region.
Position Overview
As a Commercial Caulker / Glazier, you will be responsible for installing commercial sealants and assisting with glazing systems on active construction projects. This is a hands-on role for an experienced professional who takes pride in producing quality work while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and project excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and repair commercial sealants on windows, curtain walls, storefronts, expansion joints, precast panels, and other building envelope systems.
- Perform glazing work, including the installation and replacement of commercial glass and aluminum framing systems as needed.
- Prepare surfaces for sealant application by cleaning, grinding, masking, and removing existing materials.
- Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and work orders to ensure proper installation.
- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and fellow crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in commercial caulking, glazing, or building envelope construction.
- Experience installing commercial sealants and waterproofing systems.
- Familiarity with curtain wall, storefront, window systems, and expansion joints is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Comfortable working at heights using lifts, scaffolding, and other access equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe job site practices.
- Valid driver`s license and reliable transportation required.
