ABOUT MADDIE
I am a born and raised Texan, and currently reside in Houston, TX. I decided to take a break from the Texas heat, and attend the University of Arkansas (Woo Pig!) where I majored in Biology with anticipation of pursuing a career in the Medical field. I have always wanted to help people and have the ability to change people's lives, and once I was introduced to recruiting, I knew that this was my calling.
I have been recruiting in the construction industry for 2 years where I specialized in Heavy Civil, Site Development, Marine, and ground-up construction. Yes, I enjoy recruiting because I love the ability of speaking with people all across the country and from various backgrounds, but the highlight of my recruiting experience is maintaining relationships with those individuals and helping them the best that I can.
What is your favorite thing about the Construction Industry?
Every day presents new challenges, and I enjoy using my skills to find solutions. The industry is constantly evolving with new technology and sustainable building practices, which makes it exciting to be a part of. As a recruiter, I have an appreciation for making a difference in people's lives, and contributing to help build America.
What are some hobbies/Interests?
I enjoy spending time with my pup (Trav), the cutest Husky-mix ever. Outside of being a dog mom, I enjoy cooking, any outdoor activities (i.e. Pickle ball, golf, and watching sports.. A big sports girly!), and eating good food (crawfish is a must).
Favorite book or famous quote?
It doesn't matter about the size of the dog in the fight, it matters about the size of the fight in the dog." This quote has resonated with me ever since I stepped onto a soccer field at the age of 4 as my dad would always say it to me. External advantages don't determine success, what truly matters is the inner strength, determination, and the will to keep pushing forward.
