ABOUT ERICA

I was born and raised in the beautiful, sunny Southern California in a family that worked hard for what we had; both my mom and dad’s side of the family worked trades within the film industry. I grew up being taught the value of hard work and feel that my upbringing contributes to who I am professionally. 

I am a first-generation college graduate and worked throughout college to support my father through disability and started my own family very young. I am an advocate for parents in the workplace and volunteer with local agencies that support foster teens and young parents looking to attend college or finish their GED. 

Like many others, I fell into recruitment and haven’t looked back since. I was able to incorporate both my educational background and marketing experience into recruitment methodologies and am passionate about utilizing data to illustrate talent acquisition trends. 

I’m excited to leverage my marketing expertise and data-driven approach to enhance our recruitment strategies, ensuring we not only meet hiring targets but also attract top-tier candidates who will thrive in the roles we place them in.

What is your favorite thing about the Construction Industry?

What I love most about the construction industry is its tangible impact—everything you see around you is the result of collaboration, skill, and a commitment to quality. Growing up in a family immersed in the trades within the film industry, from an early age I learned the value of putting in the effort, staying committed, and being part of something bigger than yourself.That’s something I see reflected in the construction and AEC industries every day, whether it’s the development of a new building, infrastructure, or even the teams behind the scenes making it all possible.

The sense of pride that comes from seeing a project through from concept to completion is what draws me to this field. It’s about more than just bricks and mortar—it’s about creating lasting legacies, and it’s inspiring to be part of that. For me, the combination of strategy, hard work, and teamwork in construction mirrors the same values I was raised with and that I bring into my recruitment work. 

What are some hobbies/Interests?

As silly as it sounds, my kids are my hobbies. I have two children, and we love to bake, watch movies, play Roblox, and frequent Legoland and Disneyland. I also am an avid reader and average at least 100 books a year.
