ABOUT RAVEN

Although I've had the chance to call various states home, I consider myself a Gulf Coaster. My journey began in Biloxi, Mississippi, and after Hurricane Katrina forced my parents and five older sisters to relocate to Mobile, Alabama (Roll Tide!), I witnessed the power of rebuilding amidst tragedy.

I earned my bachelor's degree in music performance (specializing in trumpet) and a minor in business from Loyola University in New Orleans. Moving to North Carolina, I ventured into people-oriented professions, starting in the insurance industry. In 2021, I transitioned into construction recruitment, finding profound joy in connecting individual talent with the right opportunities.

What is your favorite thing about the Construction Industry?

Being part of building the world around me is what I love most about the construction industry. Witnessing a project evolve, understanding its unique elements—the company, people, timeline, etc.—and guiding individuals to find their perfect fit is incredibly fulfilling. I take pride in contributing to the realization of my clients' amazing projects.

What are some hobbies/Interests?

Outside of work, my creative side takes center stage. Music is a significant part of my life; I play the trumpet, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and ukulele and play locally in Charlotte whenever I can. I also enjoy drawing, journaling, skateboarding, wakeboarding, working out, traveling as much as I can with my partner, spending time with my 2 pets, and eating seafood (oysters, crawfish, shrimp, you name it)!

Favorite book or famous quote?

My recent favorite read is "The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership" by John C Maxwell. A quote that resonates with me is from Miles Davis: "I’m always thinking about creating. My future starts when I wake up every morning… Every day I find something creative to do with my life."
