Our resort and casino is a premier destination offering luxury accommodations, world-class gaming, fine dining, and unforgettable entertainment. We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Engineering & Facilities to lead our engineering, facilities, and maintenance operations. This individual will ensure the property remains in excellent condition, upholds guest expectations, and complies with all safety and regulatory standards.

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Engineering & Facilities is responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, facilities management, capital projects, sustainability initiatives, and safety programs across the property. This leader will drive operational excellence, cost efficiency, and team development while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the engineering and facilities teams, including maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and environmental services.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term capital expenditure plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, fire safety, environmental, and gaming commission standards.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset life.
  • Manage large-scale capital improvement projects, renovations, and expansions in partnership with contractors, architects, and designers.
  • Implement sustainability and energy management initiatives to reduce costs and environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to support operational goals, guest satisfaction, and overall resort performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering and facilities team.
  • Respond to and resolve emergencies promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering/facilities management, preferably in hospitality, resort, casino, or large-scale commercial properties.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life safety).
  • Proven track record of managing capital projects and large budgets.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 resort and gaming environment.
  • Professional certifications (PE, CFM, PMP, LEED) highly desirable.
