Position: Refrigeration Service Technician - Supermarket Systems

Location: Southern Florida

Experience Level: 5-10 Years

Pay Range: $35-$50/hr (DOE) + OT + Benefits

About the Role:

Tiello has partnered with a leading Refrigeration & HVAC contractor expanding into the South Florida market to support major supermarket accounts. We are actively seeking a Refrigeration Service Technician with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in commercial/supermarket systems, including rack refrigeration, walk-in coolers/freezers, and EMS/BMS controls.

This is a field-based position supporting multiple store locations across the Southern Florida. You’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving refrigeration issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring critical systems stay online-especially when it counts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair commercial supermarket refrigeration systems (parallel racks, walk-ins, reach-ins, display cases, etc.)
• Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs with minimal supervision
• Work with EMS/BMS controls (Emerson E2, Danfoss, etc.) to monitor and adjust system performance
• Handle refrigerant recovery, leak detection, and component replacement (compressors, TXVs, EEVs, etc.)
• Maintain accurate service logs and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
• Rotate on-call for emergency service (with overtime compensation)

What You Bring to the Table:

• 5–10 years of experience in commercial/supermarket refrigeration service
• Proficient in rack systems, CO2 (a plus), EMS/BMS systems, and advanced diagnostics
• EPA Universal Certification (Required)
• OSHA-10/30, CO2 safety, or manufacturer-specific certs (Preferred)
• Clean driving record and valid driver`s license
• Strong customer service mindset and ability to work independently in the field
