Quality Control Manager

Tiello has partnered with an established Structural Steel Fabricator in North Modesto in their search for a Quality Control Manager.

The Quality Control Manager ensures weld quality and dimensional accuracy in structural steel fabrication, adhering to industry codes and contract requirements. A Certified Welding Inspector certification is required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily quality checks and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Track repairs, non-conformance, and corrective actions.
• Develop and submit weld procedures and qualifications.
• Verify materials, parts, and consumables meet quality standards.
• Review structural drawings, job specifications, and coordinate RFIs.
• Schedule and conduct welder qualification tests and maintain certification logs.
• Ensure compliance with AISC standards and prepare for audits.
• Conduct inspections, document findings, and coordinate with third-party inspectors.
• Support shop personnel in interpreting drawings and maintaining quality standards.

License/Certification:

· CWI through American Welding Society

Work Experience:

· 10+ years related experience

· Thorough knowledge of fabrication standards and procedures
