Project Manager (Public Works Construction)
Tiello has partnered with a highly respected mid-sized General Contractor in the San Bernardino area on their search for a Project Manager focused on Public Works, Institutional, Educational, and Commercial Construction projects, ranging in value up to $40 M.
Project Types: Public Works, Institutional, Educational, Commercial Construction
Job Title: Project Manager (5+ years experience)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct Engineers through all essential job responsibilities.
- Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
- Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
- Oversee & Manage the project schedules and budgets
- Oversee, Develop and Maintain a good relationship with Owner, Architect, and Subcontractors
- Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable
- Work with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
- Manage project deliverables
- Oversee and mentor the project staff to foster a positive team setting
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Public Works, Institutional, Educational, and/or Commercial Construction Experience
- Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and design consultants.
- BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
