Project Engineer (Commercial Construction)
Tiello has partnered with a highly respected Commercial General Contractor in the Orange County area on their search for a driven Project Engineer to join their team on ground-up and tenant improvement projects ranging in value up to $30 M.
Job Title: Project Engineer (2+ years experience)
Project Types: Ground-Up, Tenant Improvement, Commercial, Retail, Office, Biotech/Life Science, Laboratory
Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all essential Project Engineer responsibilities
- Review and process submittals and shop drawings, managing of RFI`s, and securing responses in a professional and timely manner while assisting the Project Manager and Superintendent with daily field items.
- Help oversee and coordinate efforts in the field, ensuring timely and accurate installations
- Effectively communicate with the project team
- Assisting with processing change orders and managing the project`s closeout effort.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer for a reputable commercial general contractor
- Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related to an Engineering field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, etc. preferred
- Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical, and sound judgment skills
