TIELLO has partnered with an established and growing Speciality Civil Contractor in the Greater Orange County, CA Area on their search for a Project Engineer with experience in the Construction and Installation of Underground Wet Utilities.

Major growth opportunity for a Project Engineer to grow with an established team with the goal of developing into a Project Manager over the coming years.

Job Title: Project Engineer (2+ years Underground Pipelines, Utilities, Wet Utilities, Storm, Sewer, Water, etc...)

Project Types: Underground Pipelines, Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Storm, Sewer, Water, Telecommunications, Electrical, Dry Utilities)

Key Responsibilities:

Able to perform all essential Project Engineer job responsibilities
Oversee daily construction needs and support the management team
Work with project managers and design professionals on schedule, change orders, & RFI’s
Help Maintain the project schedule and budget
Develop and maintain a good relationship with Owners, Architects, and Contractors
Provide the client with value-engineered solutions when applicable
Help track and manage ongoing work in the field
Assist the field staff with receiving all required information needed to perform work in the field.
Help encourage an environment that promotes safety and safe working habits
Help manage project deliverables

Skills & Qualification:

2+ years helping manage projects for reputable Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Earthworks, or Heavy Civil contractors
Experience with Projects focused on Underground Utilities, Wet Utilities, Heavy Civil Projects, Sewer, Storm, Water, Earthworks, Excavations
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related preferred, or equivalent field experience.
