Project Accountant (Multifamily Construction)
Tiello has partnered with a highly regarded local Multifamily General Contractor in Northern San Diego County on their search for a Project Accountant to assist the project team in the successful completion of their current and upcoming Multifamily projects.
Project Types: Multifamily, Apartments, Condominiums, Type I, Type III, Type V, Podium, Garden Style
Job Title: Project Accountant (3+ Yrs Experience)
Responsibilities
- Experience with Financial Statements, A/P Processing, Document Control, Invoicing, Billing
- Manage all accounting transactions (stop payments, wire transfers, ACH, etc)
- Experience with change order categories (approved, unpriced. and unapproved)
- Prepare budget forecasts
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements plus GL statements
- Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity
- Audit financial transactions and documents
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
Skills
- BS in Accounting or similar is preferred
- Sage, Quickbooks Experience, MS Office Suite, or Similar, preferred
- Work experience as a Project Accountant within the Construction Industry is required
- Experience with Financial Statements, A/P Processing, Document Control, Invoicing, Billing
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
