Our client is a well-respected commercial roofing contractor with a strong, growing service department supporting commercial, industrial, and institutional clients. Their team manages leak investigations, repairs, maintenance programs, and emergency service calls across a wide range of roofing systems.

This role is ideal for a hands-on technician who is experienced, reliable, safety-focused, and confident working directly with clients and field leadership.

Role Overview

The Commercial Roofing Service Technician performs leak diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and small scopes on commercial roofing systems. This position requires strong technical field experience, the ability to solve problems on the spot, and the professionalism to communicate findings to clients and service managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform roof leak investigations, diagnostics, repairs, and emergency service calls.
• Work on multiple commercial roofing systems including:
• TPO, PVC, EPDM
• Modified Bitumen
• BUR
• Coatings & sealants
• Metal roofing & flashing repairs
• Complete maintenance inspections, preventative programs, and photo documentation.
• Provide clear on-site communication with clients, property managers, and GC partners.
• Identify deficiencies, report conditions, and recommend additional repairs.
• Complete work orders, documentation, and close-out photos in CRM/ERP systems.
• Safely operate roofing tools, equipment, and lifts following OSHA and company protocols.
• Assist with small projects, tear-offs, and flashing repairs as needed.
• Maintain company truck, tools, equipment, and daily job logs.
• Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of commercial roofing field experience (service department strongly preferred)
• Strong hands-on knowledge of roofing systems and repair techniques
• Ability to diagnose leaks and perform repairs with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and client-facing professionalism
• Ability to safely climb ladders, access roofs, and lift 50+ lbs
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred:

• Service Tech, Leadman, or Foreman experience
• Experience with various roofing systems, coatings, and detail repairs
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
