Job Title: Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Location: Raleigh, NC

Compensation: $65,000 – $90,000 annually

Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a leading Commercial HVAC Contractor based in Raleigh, NC, in their search for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support projects throughout the Research Triangle region. Our client has built a strong reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and long-term client relationships across commercial, institutional, and light industrial markets.

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience and will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial facilities. This role requires strong technical skills, customer service focus, and the ability to work independently in the field.

Project Type:

• Commercial buildings (offices, retail, schools, healthcare, industrial)
• Preventive maintenance contracts
• Service and emergency calls
• Tenant improvements and retrofits

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, chillers, boilers, heat pumps, VAV systems, and split systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient system performance
• Calibrate and replace thermostats, sensors, controls, and electrical components as needed
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Provide detailed and accurate service reports and documentation using company software/tablet
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding work performed, system status, and recommendations
• Respond to emergency service calls and resolve issues promptly
• Collaborate with project managers and dispatchers to ensure timely completion of service requests
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in proper working order
• Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and applicable codes

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial HVAC service technician
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC systems with minimal supervision
• Strong electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for emergency service
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
