TIELLO has partnered with a highly successful nationwide mechanical manufacturer in the Piedmont Triad area who is targeting an HVAC controls technician to join a fast growing team.

The Controls Technician III will support Building Automation Systems (BAS) by assisting with service contracts, system upgrades, and controls-related service requests.

Job Title: HVAC Controls Technician

Project Types: distribution, retail, healthcare

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt and professional customer service to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot issues with direct digital control systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, commissioning, and system modifications as required or requested.
  • Monitor and maintain building automation systems by reviewing trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming.
  • Provide technical support on controls for HVAC technicians.
  • Develop and implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
  • Commission control installations, ensuring control sequences align with scope, design, and specifications.
  • Train and support customers and operations staff on system functionality.
  • Complete work orders and verify accuracy with customers.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes and improve service delivery.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Current first aid / CPR card.
  • Proficiency with test instruments and calibration tools.
  • Competency in operation of engineering/commissioning tools, DDC controllers and field devices, BACnet protocol fundamentals.
  • Competency in the operation of HVAC equipment and controls.
