General Manager

About the Role:

Tiello is currently partnering with a highly successful commercial roofing contractor in the Phoenix area to find a skilled General Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader in the commercial roofing industry to oversee daily operations, manage teams, and drive growth for a well-established company. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing projects, ensuring high-quality work, and fostering client relationships while leading a team to success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the roofing company, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Lead, mentor, and manage project managers, estimators, and other staff to achieve operational goals and maintain a strong team culture.
• Drive business development by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, property managers, and vendors.
• Develop and manage budgets for roofing projects and ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and company policies across all projects.
• Monitor and improve operational efficiencies, project timelines, and quality control.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing strategies to increase profitability and improve operational processes.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and pre-construction meetings to ensure smooth project execution and build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the commercial roofing industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale roofing projects and leading teams to achieve business objectives.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff while promoting a culture of safety and high performance.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Solid financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and achieving financial goals.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and roofing industry-specific software.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a general management or senior leadership role within the commercial roofing industry.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience building relationships with clients and driving business growth.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and attend industry events.
