Company Overview:
Tiello is partnered with a growing Fireproofing and Passive Fire Protection Contractor based in Raleigh,NC, in their search for a Fireproofing Estimator/Project Manager to support projects throughout NC.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in estimating and managing fireproofing or specialty construction projects. This dual role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of a project—from bid preparation to closeout—ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction.

- Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, and Institutional buildings
Job Responsibilities:
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to perform accurate takeoffs and estimates
- Develop and submit competitive proposals and budgets
- Lead project kickoff meetings and coordinate internal handoffs
- Manage all aspects of project execution including scheduling, procurement, subcontractor coordination, and quality control
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and field crews
- Track project costs, progress, and profitability, issuing change orders as necessary
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and applicable codes
- Conduct site visits, project meetings, and punch walks
- Maintain organized documentation for each project from start to closeout
- Work closely with accounting to ensure timely billing and collections
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in fireproofing, insulation, or related specialty construction (estimating and project management)
- Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software (e.g., On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Bluebeam)
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, materials, and application techniques
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints, specs, and interpret building codes
- OSHA 30 (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites
- Eligibility to work in the U.S.
