Tiello is proud to partner with a respected, fast-growing commercial roofing contractor in the SE to bring on a seasoned Commercial Roofing Field Superintendent. This key leadership role focuses on overseeing daily operations of the service division, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

This role is a hands-on Superintendent/Operations Manager position — perfect for someone who thrives in the field, leading crews and driving day-to-day operations without micromanagement. The branch does not have dedicated PMs, so this leader will play a pivotal role in scheduling, managing crews and subcontractors, and ensuring the branch continues to scale.

Responsibilities

• Field Leadership: Oversee daily roofing operations across re-roof, new construction, and service scopes. Supervise and coordinate in-house crews and subcontractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Operations Management: Schedule crews, manage manpower, oversee material flow, and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
• Team Development: Provide leadership for ~7 management personnel plus foremen and field staff. Mentor, coach, and build accountability within the team.
• Financial Oversight: Maintain control of project margins by monitoring costs, overtime, and purchase orders.
• Safety Leadership: Enforce all OSHA standards and company safety protocols with zero tolerance for unsafe practices.
• Hands-On Execution: Be willing to get into the nitty-gritty of roofing operations — from troubleshooting field issues to supporting crews directly.
• Collaboration: Work with the company President and leadership team to build best practices and ensure client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years in commercial roofing, construction operations, or superintendent roles. Service/re-roofing background highly preferred.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead field crews and management staff; strong hands-on, “lead by example” approach.
• Operations Acumen: Strong scheduling, field coordination, and resource management skills; ability to run projects without needing layers of PM oversight.
• Safety Focused: Deep knowledge of OSHA and fall protection standards.
• Mindset: Self-driven, accountable, and thrives under leadership that values autonomy and results over micromanagement.
