Title: Electrical Estimator

Location: Raleigh-Durham, NC

Compensation: $80,000.00-120,000.00 + Bonuses

Tiello has partnered with an established electrical contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and are seeking a electrical estimator.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm that all drawings and specs are complete per the list of documents.
  • Review the Bid Form and all alternates, unit prices and breakout prices required to ensure a complete and proper estimate.
  • Complete Project Information List for quick reference of job specific conditions by others including estimators, chief estimator, project managers and supervisors.
  • Takeoff from the plans and specs all material and complete direct entry into the company’s estimating software. Begin with any items to be quoted by outside vendors/subs and then follow the Order of Estimate thereafter
  • Compile complete bill of materials for all quotables and then notify at least three qualified vendors/subcontractors of the pricing needs and requirements.
  • Complete preliminary Bid Summary including all special job considerations including over-time, safety, direct job expenses, equipment, price escalations, etc. to provide a complete job cost.
  • Prepare a spread sheet for all quoted items expected to be bid on company-provided form.
  • Prepare a Bidders List and communicate with all GC/CM bidders to both identify us as a bidder and to confirm any special needs with each including bid day contact name, phone, fax and/or email prior to bid day.
  • At bid time, receive all vendor/subcontractor quotes and confirm accuracy and completion. Record on company-provided form.

Required:

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience, with a focus on large commercial and industrial projects

• Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, or similar tools

• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex construction documents

• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high level of integrity and professionalism
