Cost Engineer - Heavy Civil Construction
TIELLO has partnered with a highly successful Top 50 ENR General Contractor in the Greater Los Angeles California area on their search for a Cost Engineer to work on Heavy Civil, Transportation, Light Rail, Highway, Tunnel projects.
Job Title: Cost Engineer - Heavy Civil (2+ years of experience)
Project Types: Heavy Civil, Transportation, Light Rail, Highway, Tunnel
Key Responsibilities:
- Able to perform all essential Cost Engineer job responsibilities
- Develop Project Budgets, and Help Maintain them throughout Projects
- Billing, Cost Coding, Invoicing, Track Actual v Projected
- Identify and track areas of risk on the project as it relates to the cost of the project
- Assist with Takeoffs and Estimating of the Project
- Help with Change Order Tracking, Creation, and Approval
- Set up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery
- Work with Superintendents to develop safety plans and to implement safety procedures
- Manage project deliverables
Skills & Qualification:
- 2+ years as Project/Estimating/Cost Engineer for a reputable General Contractor
- 2+ years of experience on Heavy Civil, Transportation, Light Rail, Highway, and/or Tunnel Projects
- B.S. in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering/Architecture or recognized industry credentials
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn, grow, and develop, with a team that wants to promote your success
