Commercial Roofing Estimator – Municipal & Government Projects

Job Location: Baltimore, MD

Compensation: $110,000 – $140,000 base + Bonus + Full Benefits

Tiello is partnering with a nationally recognized commercial roofing contractor seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join their Baltimore team. This role will focus on municipal and government reroof projects, requiring precision in takeoffs, compliance with bid requirements, and strong estimating expertise to support high-value public-sector work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for municipal and government reroof projects.
• Review blueprints, specs, and bid documents for compliance and scope requirements.
• Perform roof takeoffs, job walks, and on-site measurements.
• Develop itemized pricing for materials, labor, and subcontractors.
• Utilize EDGE estimating software to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, vendors, and purchasing teams to support bid accuracy.
• Prepare complete bid packages for submission to government entities.
• Track and apply cost history for future estimating.
• Attend pre-bid and pre-construction meetings as required.

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience (public-sector/government strongly preferred).
• Proven track record estimating $5M+ annually in reroof projects
• Proficiency with EDGE estimating software (preferred) or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Built-Up, Modified, etc.).
• Familiarity with municipal and federal procurement/bid processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
