Commercial Roofing Estimator

Tiello is excited to partner with a highly respected and fast-growing commercial roofing contractor to bring on an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join their team at their Buford (Atlanta), GA office. This key position is ideal for a candidate who is familiar with FM Global Specs/Roof Nav, Florida specs and systems, and wind uplift requirements. We’re looking for someone with the expertise to contribute to a diverse range of roofing projects while ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, architectural drawings, and roof plans to create detailed estimates.
• Prepare take-offs and cost estimates using EDGE Estimating Software or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to gather necessary pricing and scope details.
• Conduct on-site inspections to assess roof conditions, measurements, and challenges.
• Communicate with clients to clarify project needs, timelines, and budget requirements.
• Submit accurate bids and proposals within established deadlines.
• Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitive estimates.
• Must be familiar with FM Global Specs/Roof Nav, Florida specifications, systems, and wind uplift requirements.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Built-up, etc.).
• Proficiency with EDGE Estimating Software or similar estimating platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Familiarity with FM Global Specs/Roof Nav, Florida specs, and wind uplift requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment, with a preference for in-office work.
