Company Overview:

Tiello is partnered with a leading Commercial Roofing Contractor based in [City, State] in their search for a Commercial Production Estimator to support large-scale re-roof and new construction projects across the Brighton, MI

Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial roofing or construction estimating experience and will be responsible for preparing detailed cost proposals, conducting site evaluations, and collaborating with sales and operations teams to deliver winning bids and profitable projects.

New Construction | Re-roofs | Tear-offs | Built-up | Single-ply | Modified Bitumen | TPO | EPDM | Sheet Metal

Job Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, blueprints, and architectural drawings to prepare accurate estimates
• Conduct job walks and evaluate site conditions
• Solicit pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and material/labor breakdowns
• Coordinate with the sales team to review project scope and strategy
• Assist with value engineering and alternate solutions
• Collaborate with project managers during handoff to ensure accurate budgeting and scope clarity
• Track bid opportunities and maintain organized project pipeline
• Assist in developing budgets and forecasts for upcoming bids
• Maintain and update estimating databases and tools

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial roofing or a closely related trade
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and installation practices
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., The EDGE, OnScreen Takeoff, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and architectural plans
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
