Civil Estimator - {Land Development and Roadway Construction}
Tiello has partnered with a highly reputable Civil Contractor in the Palm Beach Gardens area on their search for a Construction Estimator to focus on work in the Civil Sector, working in a team to put together estimates.
As a Project Estimator, your main responsibility will be to compile estimates for the cost of work by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Included in this will be the estimation of labor, material, equipment, and time requirements in order to compute the overall cost and duration of the project.
Job Title: Senior Civil Estimator (Heavy Civil)
Project Types: Land Clearing, Grading, Drainage, and Road Installation
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all responsibilities of a Project Estimator including but not limited to the following:
- Review project plans, requirements, and specifications
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
- Propose value engineering options to reduce project cost
- Determine costs of labor, material, and equipment
- Push the evolution of the construction documents as necessary
- Prepare conceptual estimates
- Meet and maintain bidding and work schedules
- Submit requisitions for the purchase of materials
- Compare competitive specialist and material
Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years Estimating Road Construction Experience
- Civil Project Experience
