Business Development Manager

Tiello is proud to partner with a highly respected and fast-growing commercial flooring contractor in Charlotte, NC to bring on a Business Development Manager to join their team to help build the company to $100 million within the next 3-5 years.

Our established commercial flooring company is seeking a seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships and a passion for commercial flooring. This individual will be responsible for driving sales growth, penetrating new markets, and expanding our brand presence within the commercial sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the commercial construction industry, be a skilled negotiator, and possess the ability to travel extensively (60%+) within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute strategic sales plans to achieve established sales targets.
• Generate new leads and prospects through networking, cold-calling, and industry research.
• Meet with architects, designers, general contractors, and end-users to discuss project needs and solutions.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and bids to secure new projects.
• Maintain detailed records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM system.
• Participate in industry events and trade shows to expand brand awareness.
• Build relationships with strategic referral partners.
• Travel extensively (60% or more) to meet with clients and grow market presence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor`s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in business development or sales within the commercial flooring, construction, or architectural industry.
• Strong understanding of the commercial sales process.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to travel extensively (60% or more) within the designated territory.
