About the Company

We are working with one of the nation’s largest and most respected building envelope service firms, specializing in commercial waterproofing, façade restoration, roofing repairs, and exterior maintenance. Their Service & Repair division is growing rapidly throughout Texas, supporting Class A office, industrial, healthcare, hospitality, and institutional clients.

This role is ideal for a driven, relationship-first sales professional who thrives in the building envelope service world — someone who can build trust with owners, property managers, and facilities teams to drive recurring service work and expand market presence.

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on growing Service & Repair business by developing new relationships, strengthening existing accounts, and driving repeat service opportunities across the Houston or Dallas markets.

This is a client-facing, high-activity role requiring strong networking skills, technical curiosity, excellent follow-up, and the ability to communicate value around waterproofing, small repairs, coatings, sealants, façade maintenance, and roof service work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow a strong pipeline of service repair opportunities across assigned territory.
  • Build relationships with property managers, asset managers, facility directors, REITs, and GC partners.
  • Identify, target, and secure new accounts through consistent outreach, networking, site visits, and follow-up.
  • Partner closely with operations, estimators, and field leadership to price work, review scopes, and deliver proposals.
  • Conduct site walks with clients to understand conditions, gather info, and communicate next steps.
  • Proactively follow up on bids, proposals, open opportunities, and recurring service needs.
  • Manage CRM updates, forecasting, pipeline health, and sales activity metrics.
  • Collaborate with marketing to support local events, trade shows, and client presentations.
  • Help promote Valcourt’s preventative maintenance offerings, repair programs, and emergency services.
  • Maintain strong market intelligence — competitors, pricing trends, customer needs, etc.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build long-term account retention.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years in construction/roofing/waterproofing/facilities sales or client-facing roles
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Ability to run site walks, review scopes, and discuss repair options at a high level
  • Comfortable managing a high-volume pipeline and meeting activity goals
  • Motivated, organized, and able to work independently in the field

Preferred:

  • Direct experience in commercial roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope service
  • Existing relationships with property management groups in Houston or Dallas
  • Experience selling repairs, service contracts, or preventative maintenance plans
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $70,000–$90,000
  • Commission Structure: Performance-based incentives (uncapped potential)
  • Vehicle allowance or mileage program (if applicable)
  • Medical, dental, vision benefits
  • Paid time off + paid holidays
  • 401(k)
  • Strong growth path into Senior BDM or Sales Manager roles
